And that is Metecno Pakistan’s vision – changing for the better by providing modern, efficient and functional building construction solutions at competitive cost, which are also environmentally friendly and safe. Traditional masonry and concrete construction renders fertile agricultural land to waste, open brick kilns continue to spew toxic fumes to the atmosphere and concrete roofs and other flat surfaces continue to create heat islands in urban centers. Ever increasing smog formation over major cities and the resulting health care and business disruption costs borne by the economy are the result of this environmental pollution.

Metal roofing is highly reflective and does not contribute to creating “heat islands”; Steel is fully recyclable and does not require disposal in landfills. More resistant to seismic activity, these modern and lightweight buildings are built faster, at a lower cost and have the lowest life cycle cost of any competitive material.

Retraining construction industry skilled workers in the use of modern tools is equally important.
