| Metal roofing dates back to 3000 BC; first recorded use in Europe dates back to 1100 AD when only noble metals were used. The high price restricted its use to important buildings like palaces, places of worship, etc. The past century’s innovations in steel making and construction technologies enabled steel to be used for roofing applications; widespread availability of economical and durable steel roofing has attracted architects’ and builders’ interest worldwide.
Metroof is a lightweight, yet strong product. Steel’s legendary strength, flexibility and available colours unleash the architect’s creativity to design forms that are not possible with traditional materials. With proper insulation and installation, metal roofing is ideally suited for Pakistan’s extreme climate.
MetRoof is available in 55% Al-Zn coated sheet steel in the "as produced" (silvery white metal spangled appearance) or "prepainted" condition in many standard colors. In the prepainted condition, it can also be ordered on zinc-coated (galvanized) steel, or aluminum sheet.
The unique MetRoof Klippon system uses “concealed clip fastening” which eliminates panel perforations and exposed fasteners - the traditional areas for leakage to occur. MetRoof’s Klippon ensures a durable, high quality, weather-tight roof, whose lower weight offers additional savings in the overall project cost.
MetRoof’s Klippon profile is made from premium quality 55% Al-Zn* which is produced in accordance with ASTM 792; unpainted product is used for low slope and functional roofs while colourful, prepainted material is used for architecturally pleasing, high slope roofs. Lower cost alternatives using galvanized or other materials are also available on request. |
